Rockabilly Roll & A House Wife :)

Hey all
So awhile back I was watching rockabilly hair tutorials on YouTube, and I came across one that I really loved and had always wanted to do. So I tried it and discovered it was actually quite easy to do 🙂 Yesterday I decided that I had mastered it enough to introduce it to my work place world 🙂
It was rainy yesterday so I dressed a little more fall like. I wore a striped top from Zara, a pair of black Levis jeans, a vintage cardigan and a pair of red flats. My husband said I looked like a 50’s housewife with rockin hair. I took that purely as a compliment 😛

I hope you like it! Check out the tutorial video. Its a lot easier to do than one would think 🙂

Hey all
So this weekend I actually got to do a little bit of shopping. Now that my wedding is over I feel a little less guilty about buying stuff.
So today I wore a new top that I bought at Damzels. Its by Living Dead Souls clothing, Levis jeans, a vintage cardigan and a red pair of flats. Oh and my newest vintage find my new vintage Harley Davidson leather purse.

Sorry its a little late but I wanted do a little post about my St Patty’s day festivities. On St Pattys day we decided to have a ladies night for our friends birthday. We dressed up in our lovely green get-ups and our signature green drink, and green food. Its was a great evening.  For the event I wore a 1950s green playsuit, my peacock T.U.K shoes, and a vintage cardigan.

Summer in March

This week has been great! The weather is beautiful, flowers are blooming, sun is shining, wedding invitations arrived and life is good. Out of all these exciting things I must say I am most excited to bring out my summer dresses.
Today in Toronto it was a whopping 30 degrees with the humidex and its only the second day of spring. Today I was excited to wear one of my vintage dresses that I rediscovered last week. I actually had plans to make it into a skirt because the front had a horrific stain. I washed it numerous times and tried different stain removers and nothing. But last week one of my co-workers brought in some great stain remover and I decided to give this stain one last try. ALAS!!!!! The stain came out! I was so excited I could not wait to wear it. So today was the perfect day to show it off.

Take a moment to admire the cute print. This is why I tried to save it so many times.

I hope you all had a wonderful day! Happy hump day!

Key Word: Argyle

This Thursday I was deceived by the lovely people of the Weather Network. All week I was anticipating Thursday as it was supposed to be a beautiful springy 18 degrees. The warmest day so far.  My day started by me looking out the window to see dark clouds, but I refused to believe it was going to rain and that it was supposed to be warm. So I walked out the front door and as I turned around to say goodbye to my love, it began to rain. Still refusing to believe that my warm day would be ruined I continued on to the streetcar. As I turned the corner of my lovely little street a gust of wind came, and remained the rest of the day. Needless to say it never made 18 degrees and I was under dressed for the weather 😦  It was too bad as I had picked my outfit after being inspired by “Carrie Bradshaw’s” argyle socks and thought “this” day would be the perfect day to wear them. Ah well even though I was cold I still looked cute.

My Inspiration

So here it is. I am wearing a Foever 21 t-shirt, Lida Baday skirt, Aldo shoes, Argyle socks from ?, Vintage pearl necklace and a grey cardigan that I got from my mom for Christmas.

Trouser Time

Sorry for the lack of posts recently, I’ve been doing alot of cleaning at work so my outfits havent really been that interesting.  I thought I would share my outfit today.

Today I wore high waisted pleated trousers by Lida Baday, chocolate heels, a forever 21 body suit, a sparrow necklace, and a vintage cardigan.

I also pulled my hair back into a victory roll and paired it with a nice black flower.

Happy Friday!

Heavenly Match!

Today I decided to break out one of my most favorite 1950’s cardigans.  Its beautiful! Its nude in color and has gathers on the cuffs with rhinestones.  Also the fur is removeable. But I personally think the fur is the best part! Its so full and beautiful! It looks brand new.
I found this lovely gem about 3 years ago and I actually found the fur and the sweater separate.  I found the fur first and fell in love with it and I was planning on just sewing it onto a jacket or sweater.  A few days later I found the sweater and noticed they had matching snaps. They fit together perfectly.  Match made in vintage heaven 😀
