Breaking The Rules!

Posted on

As some of you followers know I was told at work that I am no longer allowed to wear heels. I’m not sure how stern my warning was but I haven’t worn heels since. This is actually a problem for me as my heel collection well exceeds my flats collection. So on Friday I decided to test the waters a little and I wore a pair of vintage clogs…….clogs aren’t heels so I thought I would be safe, and no one said anything so I’m going to assume I’m in the clear for clogs 😉
I paired them with a cute little skull dress that my sister got me for my birthday (its from H&M) and I wore a pair of denim cutoffs that I turned into maternity shorts:). The reason I wear the shorts is because I personally find that H&M dresses are quite short and when you add a baby bump into the mix its even shorter. So to save people from seeing my rump all day I played it safe with shorts 🙂

Hello all,

Sorry for the extreme lack of posts in the last couple months. I was off marrying the man of my dreams 😀 But I am back and ready to post away!!!

Today I wore a vintage Wrangler denim jacket, a vintage 50’s dress, Lida Baday belt and Charlotte Russe shoes. I also made one of my attempts at reversed victory rolls. I must say that I am quite pleased with how they turned out 😀

This is one of my favorite vintage dresses. It is soooo cute

Here is the views of my hair. (Its finally long enough to do properly) YAY!

Here’s a little victory roll tutorial for you ambitious types 😀

Hey all
What a lonnnnnnng day! Today seemed longer than normal as I have been eagerly awaiting the long weekend! To celebrate my excitement I decided to dress bright and sunny.

Today I wore a vintage floral dress that actually used to be my grandmothers (I found it in her basement on my last trip home: D ). I paired my dress with some fun and flirty Betsy Johnson bow heels, a Lida Baday belt and a vintage cardigan.

I wish you all a happy and safe May long weekend!: D

Roses Are Red

Today I decided to bring out one of my vintage dresses that I’ve had mixed feelings about. I found this dress a few years ago and fell in love with the print. At first I was going to alter it and take the bodice off and just wear it as a skirt. Then I thought about altering the neckline.  But on Halloween I decided to actually wear it as it is (I also was wearing day of the dead face paint)
It was that day that I decided to leave it as it is. 😀

A little twirl. I love how the skirt flows.

Just to wanted to show you how wide the skirt is, and get this……….its all one piece! More fabric for a lovely twirl.
